·Burdock Root - A coarse composite herb bearing globular flower heads with prickly bracts. Antiseptic and antibacterial used topically to calm certain skin conditions. Its oil extract smoothes and revitalizes the hair and tones and soothes the scalp. An excellent ingredient in anti-frizz hair care products and styling aids for coarse, curly, hard-to-handle hair. Credited with antibacterial and antifungal properties. Compresses Burdock leaves applied externally are credited for relieving bruises and inflammation.
·Bilberry - fruit acid extract buffered to the same pH as the acid mantle of the scalp, a pH of 5.5. This creates a negative charge on the scalp. This helps reduce oiliness and wards off future dirt, as the shampoo and the scalp are in harmony. These fruit acids have been used for years to exfoliate dead skin from the face and body. Oils become entrapped in the clusters of dead skin cells. These fruit acids loosen theses dead skin cells which in turn help the shampoo cleansing agents to remove.
